OVERVIEW OF SERVICES

Here is a brief introduction to Integrative Holistic Medicine to help you understand the scope of Diagnostic Evaluations and Integrative Medicine Practices used at the clinic:

Today many Complementary and Holistic Health therapies are offered by those who have had minimal or no education in Clinical Diagnosis, Pharmacology, Anatomy and Physiology and they don’t understand the course of chronic illness. This leaves patients at a disadvantage at best, or unprotected, and endangered. And the sad part is that most ‘Natural Health’ practitioners have no idea that their lack of western medical training may delay needed medical treatments, or even make there patient’s condition worse.

Certified Holistic Nurses

Holistic Nurses receive advanced medical training in Complementary Medicine, Health Coaching and have National Certifications that are recognized and approved by the ANA.

They are licensed, Registered Nurses who integrate Natural, Holistic Medicine Therapies with Western Medical treatments. Recognizing that practitioners who have both traditional forms of Healing, combined with Western Medical treatments and diagnosis are best able to heal complex immune system illnesses while at the same time offering holistic preventative medicine, the practice of Holistic Nursing was born.

Today’s Certified Holistic Nurses are emerging as owners and cornerstones of Integrative Medicine Clinics, working in hospitals to integrate Holistic Medicine into the medical model, and serve as Parish and Congregational Nurses in Churches and Synagogues through out the United States. They serve seniors in Wellness Clinics in their Assisted Living Communities, and are found in the growing field of Sports Medicine. Holistic Nurses offer their patients Health Coaching through comprehensive understanding of Complementary Medicine as they blend traditional Natural Therapies seamlessly into advanced, Western Medical treatment protocols and review their patient’s life-style, home environment, lab work, medications, history and physical exams, nutrition and allergies, and then offer Complimentary forms of healing therapies.

Traditional Asian Medicine is recognized as effective by the World Health Organization, and is recognized by Western Medical Universities including the University of Maryland and Harvard Medical School. The National Institute of Health has approved Asian Medicine effective for the treatment of Headaches and Chronic Pain, Lymes Disease, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Asthma, Allergies, Environmental Illness, Back and Arthritis/Rheumatism Pain.

Traditional Asian Medicine

Asian forms of healing are used alone and to supplement Western Medicine treatments such as chemotherapy and post surgical pain. For thousands of years Asian Medicine has been used as a way to prevent the development of serious illnesses by keeping the body ‘Well Toned’ and the immune system strong. It also reverses deep and chronic illness, and restores a sense of Well-Being, even when other forms of medical care have failed.

Naturopathic Therapies

This includes the treatment of illness with Natural Remedies, Nutrition, Supplements and Herbal Remedies.

Integrative Holistic Medicine

This combines Western and Traditional forms of Medical Therapies, integrating various forms of healing for the benefit of patients.

In her clinic Dr. Emi uses a combination of all of these healing traditions, offering comprehensive evaluations, Asian Five Element Therapy, Te-A-Te Meridian Acupressure, Five Element Needleless Acupuncture with Moxibustion, Herbal Remedies and Nutrional Supplements, Individual, Nutritional Menus. Combined all of these support and encourage the healing of the body from the inside out. Dr. Emi works side-by-side with other medical providers to reduce or eliminate many of the pharmaceutical drugs they are taking.  This combination of therapies helps the body to recharge, cleanse and renew.
